On Monday, February 4, at 1:30, preschool children born in 2014, 2015, and 2016 are invited to Pinewood to partake in songs and story telling to welcome them into the school environment. Participants will receive a book. Please register by calling the school or emailing email@example.com.
Students have been engaged in daily DancePlay workshops this week. There will be a showcase of their new moves on Friday, January 18th in the gym at 2:00. Guests are welcome to attend and watch. Please enter and exit through the back gym doors. Thanks to the PAC for funding the program!

There are two wheelchair accessible parking spots and 4 guest parking spots available in the traffic circle for voters using Pinewood for advance voting. We have also dedicated two parking spaces in the staff lot for voters. Please be mindful of the extra traffic in and around the school for the next two days.
Volleyball Schedule 2018 Volleyball season has started. Grade 7’s practice Tuesday and Thursday at lunch and Grade 6’s practice Monday and Wednesday at lunch. Attendance at practice is mandatory for all players.

We are holding our 15th Jump Rope for Heart event at Pinewood on February 9th. Students can get donations online by going to jumpropeforheart.ca and clicking on ‘Register’. With parent permission, they can select their province and school to create an account. Donations will be open until Feb 16.
Just a reminder that Delta School District Academies is having an open house at the School Board Office in Ladner on Saturday from 10:00-1:00.

Our Christmas Food Drive will go from November 20 to December 13. We have a student leadership group responsible for sorting and collecting the food items. Please send in non-perishable food and personal hygene items with your child to school for collection. Thanks for supporting the initiative!
